About this Soler’s Event

Enjoy this scenic, rolling course on park roads, trails and country roads through the Texas hill country. The Joshua Springs Park & Preserve is a recent acquisition of Kendall County, which opened to the public in 2012. Over 400 acres of natural Texas beauty; home to hundreds of white tail and Axis deer. Come get your last long run or walk before the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & Half Marathon, and enjoy the change in scenery!

Registration

You may register via mail, online, or at any Soler’s Sports store. The cost is $30 per person for either distance. Late fees kick in on Oct 6th, 2012 — $35 for everyone. Technical race shirt guaranteed to first 300 registrants only! Register early to get yours!

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be held at Soler’s Sports Jackson Keller on Friday, Oct. 19 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. Race day packet pickup will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 at the park from 6:30 am - 7:45 am.

Directions to Venue

Take IH-10 towards Boerne. Just past Boerne, exit #533 Welfare/Waring. Stay straight on FM 289 past Smittyville & PoPo’s. When FM 289 crosses back under IH-10, turn right onto FM289 N and the park entrance will be on your left.

Course Details

Joshua Springs Park & Preserve is now open to the public with additional trails and amenities. The course for 2012 will be different than in years past. Check back soon for maps and route descriptions!

Course Support

Aid stations are located approximately every 2 miles and will include:

  • Water with cups
  • Electrolyte drink
  • Band-aids
  • Vaseline

Port-a-cans will be located at the race start/finish and along approximately every 4 miles.

Post-race Expo

Race finishers will enjoy a fun, festive post-race expo at the park including music, raffle prizes, hot food and cold Miller 64 beer.

Awards

1st overall M/F. 1st masters M/F. Age group: 1st-3rd M/F, 5-yr increments to 70+ for both the 10 miler and 20 miler. No duplicate awards.
